Just bought a 1978 ute with a14 in it. Had not been started in 4 years and ran first shot. Wondering on differences between a12 and a14 in regards to dizzy, water and fuel pumps etc. are they all the same? Motor is from a sunny. Also, is it relatively easy to replace heater hose?

More or less. Compared to 1970-1973 A12, an A14 has: * short water pump + less offset fan * slightly higher pressure fuel pump * distributor rotated differently with different plate
These three things make no difference is a swap, they connect the same way. They only make a difference if you try to put them on an A12.
