go 18x7.5 wheel with +15 offset. Roll the gaurds and put a skinny tire so it won't rub (much). Maybe a 215/40R18 but that will probably rub a lot.

There are a bit more choices with 17s, like 205/40R17.

Here are 18s on a little ute

I estimate that is the maximum dish that will fit without flares:

But it is very close and might rub on the inside or outside, especially depending on the tyres.

Well first of all, ya gotta ask yourself kid "am I legal" ... I understand Australia limits the size of rim changes unless you go through engineering?

To fit 8" wide rims *with large diameter tyres* you will need to cut the guards and install Overfender Flares.

With *small diameter* low-profile tyres like 13s you can get away with 10" wide rims and no flaring at all.

Cutting the diff narrower won't help as you are at the limit of space inside the wheelwell. You could "tub" the chassis, but that requires ICV engineering I think.

first of all you will need to tub the rear if your trying to fit 18x8. you will never make it up a driveway if you dont as the diff will pick up one side and pull down the other and you will be stuck. you will also have to stretch the rear gueard as i beleive 1200 uts have a smaller wheel arch on them and they will not fit in the standard one. you will also need to stretch the front guards and also do modifications to the front inner wheel tub as they will rub. you will not fit a 18x8 wheel in the front unless you run flares. there was alot of f&%king around to make these wheels fit let me tell ya.

Exterior body arches appear to be identical.

215/40R18 tires are 24.7" tall diameter.
Stock 1200 tires are 21.8" tall.

That's 3" difference or 1.5" radius change. It will fit under stock 1200 body -- if it has not been lowered. But will rub when you go over bumps unless the wheel is centered (on the rear at least -- max 7.5" wheel, +30 offset).
