Sorry if you find these boring. And don't hassle me about the apparent lack of progress. The project is still moving

hey that looks like your projects really comin along. at least you have a garage LOL you should see mine right now, i have it out in front of our house with no motor, no hood, NO FRONT SUSPENSION,its just basicly siting ut there with it's nose pointing towards the sky resting on a set of jackstand and with the front suspension laying on the ground 2 feet in front of it. i'm sure my parents and neighbors are just thrilled with me right now

woooo! go the sedan!

i thought i was the only one doing up a sedan

what colour are you painting yours? i have been thinking seriously about leaving my vinyl roof on...just for something different, and painting it tiger gold, or some form of metallic silver....hmmmm....

Those brakes should haul it up pretty damn good......jeeezus

There's a few of us that have sedans, but I'm pretty sure the americans didn't get a 4 door. That's probably half the problem.
I've never seen one with a vinyl roof though, was it an option?

the p510 verada / commodore are they still the same stud pattern as the 1200 and would 13inch wheels clear the calipers

Don't worry, I've got my old sedan rusting (But now covered) in the front yard. The guy over the road abused me about it when he was selling his house. He reckoned it made it hard for him to sell his house.

The Verada upgrade is what's on my 1200. They will only fit on 14+inch mags. You use the same struts, but change the cups to suit the small springs.

You dont mind if i get a few ideas from ya do ya?

my datto is coming off the road later this year for a full resto, and CA-18 conversion to boot.

looking at different diffs, struts etc....may look into the setup that you have. Has it been too much trouble to make it fit?

4 link suspension in a datto has gotta be the most craziest (but good!) thing i've seen. Imagine the handling.....oooo......aaaahhhh....

give those CA coupe guys a run for their money 'eh? As well as any other car on the road!

love your work

-Jesse

The 4 link is mainly for handling the increase in power. The springs wind up too much, and I didn't like the clunking of the tramp-rods I used on my old setup. I also need more space for mufflers, because I don't want it to be a loud beast. With the leaf springs removed, I can put mufflers behind the axle. I'm thinking of putting 2 mufflers on the back, and using a crossover pipe to the other outlet. By having 2 mufflers at the back, I'll be able to use more restrictive (quieter) ones behind the axle without loosing the power.

I got the sedan as a rolling shell in primer (which I've completely stripped), But as you see yes it had a chrome strip along the body like the coupes. I filled the holes using brass shim and a large soldering iron. It was a lot of frustrating work. It's a better solution than filler or epoxy glue. I had to fill almost 20 holes, the front guards are taiwan replacements so they didn't have the holes.
I'm thinking of maybe putting replica GX pinstriping, but I'm not sure on that. The colour is kind of secret, You'll have to wait until it's finished

I've got no problems with you ripping some ideas. Although a lot of pain is experienced daily in deciding what direction to go in regards to the rebuild. It's harder than my 9 to 5 regular job.

Chris.
