I am planning an a15 swap into my 77 120y, but I've read that some have had issues with clearance of the front sump of the a15 and crossmember of late B210s. And have had to modify the B210 sump to work with a15.

Anyone have first hand info on this issue?

For what it's worth I just checked out the 74 and 77 120Ys currently in my possesion and they both had front sumps.

I've never heard of this issue. Thought only issue was a15 sump had bulge for crank clearance, so can't use a12 sump on it with out mods.

The sump doesn't sit any different to a12 or 14 .

The issue is with North American B210, which has a mid-sump crossmember exactly like the 510.
