Try www.ozdat.com.

I believe trb012 on this site was trying to sell a 1600 for a mate recently....but Melbourne probably a bit far away for you.

Most overpriced Datsun of all. Get a 180B, cruiser and limo all rolled into one.

Just bide your time and look on ebay and gumtree, carsales too but most are overpriced there, one will pop up for a decent price eventually.

1600's would be 1.5x to 2x the price of a 1200 sedan I'd imagine, look out for either type tho, alot of the clean ones people are trying to sell for rediculous prices because they are not actually concerned with selling it, but if someone offered them that money then they would take it.

If people are not sheep and follow carsales prices, then when they want to sell their car quickly it will be the right price.

I have seen stuff like l20B twin webbered powered clean(no rust & decent white paint) looking 1600 sedans going for $6000 with decent suspension and average wheels. That's what I would consider a good deal, given the mods would be worth the 2-3000 after the purchase price.

Some people however consider that their quarter finished project with terrible paint/rust and a few expensive maddat bits and a sr20 in bits are worth $8000-10000, which is just ridiculous, they sit on carsales for half a year before they get sick of trying to sell them for too much etc.

Only once in a blue moon a good deal pops up on carsales, gumtree seems to house all the decent priced ones and ebay sometimes pops up something awesome aswell.
