Japan made the Solex Mikuni or Mikuni Solex was a French liscensed design improved in Japan and used on many Japanese cars not just toyota but Nissan, Prince, Hino, Isuzu, Mitsu and others not to mention a plethora of bikes.

I had a spare pair of 44mm ones I wished I kept but went with my RA28 celica

Mikuni 40PHH are a good carburettor and quite cheap too, comparatively.

There are many manifolds available.
