hey all,
I recently inherited a 1200 ute off my grandad, it is in great stock condition and i absolutlely love it.
I would love to use this as my daily driver, but i would also like to have abit of fun with it, unfortunitly as it is stock , it goes quite slow. I dotn want anything too hard core, just abit horses would do some good.
does anyone have any information on where i should start with cheap and easy 'go hard' mods?
thanx
there are alot of sweet dattos here, you guys rule!!!!!!!!!

I think that you can begin by increasing the engine compression to 10:1 and apply a KN filter to the carby. That are light mods that can put some extra horses on the engine without too much danger.

I reckon a little weber or holley woudl be the goods. Just like a 32/36 weber or a G180 Holley.
You'd need an adaptor (About $30 I think) and maybe some linkages. SHoudln't cost too much if you just wait for cheap parts to come by

i'd think a 32/36 weber would be too big for an a12 & would drown it.really, the best size for an a12 was the old 32 dgv, which had smaller venturis,& was perfect.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
