Stanza strut/1200 ute

Ok I'm just after alittle help and clarification. I've got a 82 ute which I assume qualifies as a late model. Now I have searched the forum with conflicting info about putting shortened stanza struts into a ute. So this goes out to all the ute owners who have done this.

Some say they will just bolt straight in. Some say change the steering arms, lower control arms, castor rods and lower ball joint to the stanza ones. Some say late model ute control arms, castor rods and ball joints are ok aswel as the tie rods.

Only thing that has been the same across the board is the steering arms. To use the stanza ones.

So I'm hoping that's all I need to change as the late model ute parts will be ok.

Can anyone confirm or deny this. Mainly to the people who have actually done this to their utes.

Cheers in advance.

If u have a late ute this will have the bigger ball joints and lower control arms but if you fit stanza ball joints this will give you more camber but will increase track width but 10~15mm, the castor rods will have a notch out to clear bigger ball joints if they are late ute castors. The steering arms u need to change to stanza and by memory u need to use the tie rod adjusters as well.

ok well ive purchased all new tie rod ends and lower ball joints from datsport and they say that they are for stanzas and 1200's so hopefully they will all be fine. so all i need are stanza steering arms.

A10 Stanza and B310 Sunny steering Arms are the same W50 castings (except some A12 powered B310s).

Has anyone done the b120 steering knuckle mod? It looks to be a good idea and not to hard a job for a engineer.

Is that slight play in the mounting holes ok since it is offset slightly. It wouldn't be much. 2.5mm each hole.
