dear all...

i just bought L16 twin SU carb c/w air-cleaner box. for around USD 50. it was unused for 2 year/ need full service.

my question is what to do to fit it to a15 engine...?

The carbs will work as-is

The manifold you need depends on which A15 you have.

* for standard oval port head, use the factory A14T manifold
* for standard round port head, use an aftermarket twin SU manifold

You will also need a different air filter as the spacing between l16 and a15 mounting is different.
also need the connecting rod between the sus with the stoppers as this is different too.

Not bolt on. You may also find it a bit rich in the tuning but a decent upgrade

many many thanks for the replies....

a15 twin su manifold is very hard to get here. almost not available. so i need to custom made the manifold...

possible to mod the L16 manifold with a15 flange ???

Yes its possible.


No company makes a15 twin su manifold. So we use an A14 manifold, since all A15 use A14 heads.

its very rare as well.

here in malaysia, can get twin su carb and manifold for L series engine. but not for a series..

im searching for it for past few weeks all over the malaysia.. but bad luck. even got also no one willing to sell...

hey mate
very close mate of mine used to make custom manifolds out of steel to fit 180b sss twin sus into a series for rally.
so its definitely possible.

I think no one has converted L-series manifold to use on A-series. So you will be the first.
