I have an a14 that I'm rebuilding for my 1200 ute project, I'm doing some research on bike carbs and I'm asking those of you more experienced if putting Yamaha r1 bike carbs on this little motor be the best option in regards to bike carbs?

Thanks for your input.

R1 easy to get parts but 40mm throats might be too big for a14. R1 good for 2lt motors. Try get some x9 or ninja 36-38mm carbs.
Make sure sidedraft carbs or you may have issues like my mikunis

FCR is the ultimate bling for A-series carbs

Matsuoka MSR are like FCR but about $1000 US cheaper.

Mikuni BS34 may be the best ones, sidedraft and the right size
