hey everybody i know its not a 1200 but i'm doing up a 120y coupe putting a 180b engine and 5 speed gearbox

with regards to engine mounts i've been told the 180b crossmember will bolt straight in and changing a few things like the drag link stuff is there any truth to it? if anybody has info it would be much appreciated?

and has anybody got any recommendations about diffs that will fit i'm reading that the standard diff will #OOPS# itself on the first drive because too much torque?

and who do i see on the gold coast about custom tailshafts?

If you have a bw68 diff in the 120y will be fine.
yes the x member is true but adds bump steer into the handling. Not good.

Its easier into a 120y than a 1200.
If yours is auto too makes tail shaft correct length usually.

hey mate, i think its easier to fab up own mounts onto existing crossmember. i unpicked the old ones, fileld the holes and made some new ones out of plat. sit the engine in the bay where you want it, on bits of wood etc and design from there. h145 will die, i know as mine just has, spat the spider gear pin.

180b will bolt in, but need petty much 180 everything for it to work. didnt suit my needs a i wanted to keep struts etc all 120y. apart fom brakes, which are now s13 silvia.

Ahh ok cool how do you tell if its a bw68? and its not auto originally manual do you need to move the control arms?

Ok i'm not that crafty i was hoping for it too bolt in

120y use H150 not H145 (Unless its a 74 model) and the way to tell if its a bw 68 is to look at the back of the diff and see if there is a number of bolts holding a plate on the rear.

H150 will last a bit if not doing burn outs

Planning on doing a few burnouts so i need something to last would an r31 diff to suit work?
