You may already know this and i dont know the exact details but with the KA24 heads there are two different types. One makes the swap a lot easier than the other, i believe you need the type that came out of a rwd not the front wheel drive. I have been told you can use either but there is a lot more messing around to make the front wheel drive head work.

Ka24de heads fwd can be converted to rwd easily (fwd head just needs rear dizzie plug) and to run a dizzie on fwd use rwd front timing dizzie from the USA if you have a contact there. If not using a dizzie the fwd head is fine and the important thing is to source a toyota 18rg crank snout sprocket which has the same pitch as the ka24de chain.
