Hey Guys I am currently doing a build of a Sunny B310 sedan with a CA18det the goal is to have this project up and running on the road by the start of next year. so far on my build I have rebuilt the engine with
forged pistons
forged conrods
Race spec bottom end and big end
new oil pump
new water pump
new harmonic balancer 20% underdrive
NPC heavy duty organic clutch rated 240rwkw
crank harmonic balancer clutch and fly wheel.
head stud bolts
comitec head gasket.
garrett T28 highflowed.

now there is a few questions I have coming up to this build and putting it back on the road. my 2 main questions are about brakes and the rear diff. for now I will leave these are my main questions get them all under control and go from there thanks guys

The diff & the brakes are important part of your build. Make them too small & it's a waste of time. The engine sounds like a serious bit of kit, too. So, you'll probably want at least 250mm ventilated front discs, if not bigger. You'll also want a strong diff that isn't too wide for the car. A H190 housing from an S12 Gazelle can be fitted, but these seem hard to find, due to the fact that the donor cars weren't that popular to start with. Fortuneately for you you're in a hotbed of datsun modifying, living in Melbourne, with lots of members able to help & to supply parts. I've only spoken in general terms, because it all depends on what you find. So, I recommend a set of S13 discs & calipers on your standard struts, with a coil over kit to adjust ride height & a H190 diff from a gazelle with an LSD if possible, with the alternative of a diff housing from a 720 ute modified to fit, or maybe a R31 Borg Warner.

Thanks guys :) I did attach some photos not sure if they worked but here are some more ill put a link from Photobucket so you guys can check out my build so far.
is there a way of finding out what diff I have? I was talking to one of my mates and he has some new s13 front brakes or 180sx but pretty sure they are off an old silvia s13. would these be fine. or not big enough. with doing the brake upgrade it makes sences that the lines or portioning valve. would these need changing to allow for the bigger brakes?

also would it be hard/ price range putting independent in the ass end. I have coils in the back.

All B310 were factory-fitted with H150 differential. It looks very much like the H165 (eight-bolt gasket, etc).

For the specific ratio, look on the engine compartment plate:
