hose to air filter

Hi just wondering what the black hose to the air filter box does and if it can be removed if we Dont have that same box?

Would a 200sx filter box have the same.plumbing?


And again wondering what this set of metal piping is/does

hose to air filter is for the passive Exhaust Air Induction. It is not need to operate the engine correctly. If your cylinder head as EAI or Air Pump passages they can be blocked.
