I was confronted by my daughter last night with a reminder that I only have about 6 months to put either a 59 bugeye (preferably) or 1200 ute on the road. With the bugeye/1200 ute, ( not worrying bout engineering side of it) what motor can she legally have to drive as a L or P-plater in Melb?? A12 A14 A15?? Cause they have changed rules again and cant get a direct answer form Vic-roads. And are any mods allowed/not allowed etc??

The guidelines are public, so reading may be better than of trying to get an answer from a telephone jockey: https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/licenc ... icles-for-p-plate-driversQuote: For vehicles manufactured before 1 January 2010, the probationary prohibited vehicle definition has not changed.
