I know lots of you have done de automatic to manual transmission swap on your A14 engines.
I am curious to know how did you manage to redirect/re-wire the reverse switch and the top switch that come with the manual transmission.
I just finished installing the 5 speed transmission on my B210/120Y and working on the final touches.

Two common ways:

* Leave automatic wiring down to transmission, connect the two REV wires in the harness to the M/T Reverse Lamp Switch. Also jump together the two starter inhibit (neutral safety) wires.

or

* Unplug the automatic wiring at the firewall, jump the two Nuetral Safety Switch wires, then run two new wires down to the Reverse Switch

Check your year of car wiring diagram, because the wire colors changed several times. B210s also can use a relay.

I can't remember how I did it, but I had to utilise both the neural cut-out wires to make my reverse lights work, and stumbled on a great immobiliser that was so simple and idiotic, it worked! Basically, mine would not engage the starter motor unless the car was in reverse. Simples!!
