Hello all!

I was just wanting some of your wisdom on this small query...

How different is the layout of the studs on the head of the A14 and A12...now i've seen both engines with manifolds connected and they look 'slightly' different ..but have not seen them completelty bare... can anyone shed any light on this???

Cheers

Also, the A-12 has a single "skinny" bolt that is used as an oil passage. You might need to "drill for oil" if you mix and match heads.
See "Dimlight's turbo block" in the photo section to see the difference.
As for alignment of the rest of the bits, the metal head gasket that Nissan Motorsports sold me is for all A-series engines.

Oops! Sorry. The exhaust manifold is the same engine to engine. The intake manifolds are slightly different. The A-12 has a single hole, 2 total, between the ports. The A-14/15 has dual holes, four total, to the outside of the ports.
The bad news is, you will have to drill and tap the A-12 head to fit an A-14/15 manifold. Watch out for water passages and such.
The good news is, A-14/15 heads, in my experience, have holes for both configurations.
