I was going to dedicate this cylinder head to another project but it is not what I want.

Condition is excellent, no corrosion damage to water ports. Very minor impressions where the cylinder head bolts go, supporting the case that this head did very few kilometres. This cylinder head was removed from a low km A14EGI engine. Contrary to suggestions, these cylinder heads were more popular on the EGI engines than the H92.

The EGI H89 has double valve springs and significantly longer inlet manifold bolts. Note the impression of the gasket remnants on the manifold face which show the injector nozzle outline.

Excellent starting point for a serious performance head or for speed-way racing.

Price? Offers? I would like $600 delivered via TNT Express International. Will listen to offers depending on how keen I am to sell, at the moment I am pretty keen to sell it.

Hi clyons8, I recently bought an unmolested H89 from an A15 non egi engine and paid $270. Head was standard with no port work or planing so $600 seems a little high.

Cheers

Sherodat

Sherodat, congratulations you've done very well. Yes it does seem a little high doesn't it?

Thank you for your input.

EGI head starts with H89 casting, but differs in the machining. Also includes dual valve springs.

Is that an EGI head? The intake ports don't look like EGI ports

I'm certain the A14EGI head is in fact a H89 casting. The H92 was very limited and therefore a fair bit rarer.

I will attempt to upload some pictures for you. From memory if you look at one of the EGI manuals I have uploaded in my signature you will see the dismantled assembly shows a normal port H89 cylinder head with no injector pockets like the H92.

Bump for a sale. Swing me an offer.

Funnily enough the H89 EGI head still uses the H92 gasket pattern with the cut-out for the injectors.

Yes, "H92" was the part number of the finished cylinder head (11041-H9200). I'm fairly certain it used an H89 casting.

Ports are a close match to regular H89

And what of the H92 cylinder head? I thought they were from the A15E but I have also found H89 heads fitted to those.

A15E head is 11041-H9204. It appears to be machined from a an H89 casting, what is different from the A14E head? nothing. Late A14E used the same 11041-H9204.

What is different between the EGI head and the carbureted H89? Unknown. Perhaps just a boss drilled different. But if it really does put out 92 PS, I suspect the port machining differs, or maybe the combustion chamber. Or maybe its all smoke and it really made less HP.

For the record. Shipping is $165 via TNT Express International.

That makes it quite well priced I think.

Regarding the heads I think the H92 stamped cylinder head is a little different but not too dissimilar.
