just looking at Prince G15 and G series G1 model and cant help Nissan used alot of Princes finer engineering ábility and racing designs for later Nissan Success.
Prince GTR started its venture into its now supercar GTR status for Nissan really after it acquired the Prince brand.

After all that this head has great design header like the GX A series

and a few other things like an AY style head back in the early 60s.

could it be possible Nissan just lifted the G1 75mm bore matched cylinder head and used it on an A series? a good mystery for those after the AY style head as the G was OHV but maybe not crossflow like the OHC series.

Quote:
GA-30[edit]
1484 cc diameter X stroke: 75.0 mm (3.0 in) x 84.0 mm (3.3 in), OHV

Maximum output (gross) 60 PS (44 kW; 59 bhp) @ 4400 rpm
Maximum torque (gross) 10.75 kg·m (105.4 N·m; 77.8 lb·ft) @ 3200 rpm
1957 Prince Skyline ALSID-1
1957-1961 Prince Skyline ALSI-2
1957-? Prince Truck ALPE
1958-1959 Prince Miler ARTH-1
GA-4[edit]
1484 cc diameter X stroke: 75.0 mm (3.0 in) x 84.0 mm (3.3 in), OHV

Maximum output (gross) 70 PS (51 kW; 69 bhp) @ 4800 rpm
Maximum torque (gross) 11.75 kg·m (115.2 N·m; 85.0 lb·ft) @ 3600 rpm
1959 improvement on the GA-30

Mechanical similarities with engine used in Subaru 1500
Applications:

1957-1959 Prince Skyway ALVG
1959-1963 Prince Miler ARTH-2
1957-? Prince Miler Van ARVF
1958-1961 Prince Skyline ALSID-2
1959-1961 Prince Skyway
1962-1964 Prince Light Miler T430

G-1[edit]

Prince G-1 engine of Nissan Prince Skyline 1500 Van Deluxe V51B
The Prince G-1 was the improved GA-4, and was rated at 1.5 L, but displaced 1.5 L (1484 cc/90 in³) thanks to an entirely different 75 mm (3.0 in) by 84 mm (3.3 in) bore and stroke. This undersquare arrangement was similar to the designs Nissan licensed from Austin Motor Company, though this is probably coincidental. This engine was also an OHV design and power output was similar to the Nissan G at 73 hp (54 kW) and 87 lb·ft (118 N·m).

Applications:

1958-1963 Prince Clipper AQTI
1961-1967 Prince Homer T64/T640
1963-1965 Prince Clipper T630
1963-1967 Prince Skyline S50
1963-1968 Prince Skyway V51 (renamed as "Nissan Prince Skyline Van" in 1966 after the merger with Nissan)
1965-1966 Prince Light Miler T440

casting heads in any numbers is the most complicated of all engine parts to get right. Many companies in the past suffered from head casting issues more than engine blocks due to the heat tolerances / cycles heads go through. There is more involved in making a good head in alloy than we would like to think and the only real chance for making AY heads is using billet sections then tigged together as casting has massive pitfalls that if right at first later could show up headaches and endless nightmares. Big companies often test engine batches in ways little guys cant so casting a successful head is near mission impossible.

Even some individual reputable creative engine builders use bike heads on custom bottom ends or stick to the most popular aftermarket supported engine heads or suppliers.

At least Mazda and other Nissan heads can be adapted an A series as well :)

That crossflow hemi-head looks awesome!

The exhaust manifold looks very close to an A14 manifold
