A basically stock Datsun 1200 coupe body that is rust-free & straight.
Complete set of new body gaskets and weather strips included.
Hot-rodded, zero hour Datsun A15 engine with free flowing, big valve, GX oval port head. High compression pistons, semi-race cam, side draught Webers with rare manifold and linkage, ceramic coated headers.
Likely puts out more than double the HP of the original A12.
Two transmissions: Datsun 60 series 4-speed and 60 series 5-speed with overdrive 5th, both can live reliably with the increased output of the A15.
Only fly in the oinkment is that the OEM H145 rear axle is still under the car (it won’t last long at all with the A15 engine) but the owner has all the bits and pieces (housing, alloy carrier, 4.11 posi gear set) that with a little cutting and pasting will provide a decent rear end.
Owner is a nice guy, quite knowledgeable about the project and willing to talk to the right Datsun enthusiast. It was to be my hot street project until a long-time love came back into my life after saying she would never be mine. (Kawasaki ZRX1200R Eddie Lawson edition)

What do you think are the chances I could convince my other half to let me spend my tax return on this and ship it to New Jersey???

Second thought I already have my hands full on the ute project. But hey why not have 2 projects!

:)
