Hey guys unfortunately my original radiator has shat itself and has so much gunk and toxins in it just needs to be thrown away anyhow.

My question is what is a good little aluminium radiator to replace it with there are a fair few on ebay from different manufactures but last time i brought one it didnt line up to the OE installation holes and sat actually on the chassis rail lifting the whole radiator up it was terrible so i returned it.

Can anyone suggest a brand/manufacture that actually makes a decent OE swap out aluminium radiator for 1200 ute

Kind Regards

ozcoolingparts (eBay seller out of China) has a good reputation, only 4 negatives out of 1000+ positive feedback

The little aluminum radiators cost more than the big ones, but they are the only ones that are a direct fit (line up with existing bolt holes)

Keep in mind that copper radiators are superior, however they cost more and a 3-core aluminum will beat a 2-core copper unit. I'd be going with aluminum for that reason. Be sure to run new coolant/antifreeze for its corrosion-resistant properties. Old contaminated coolant may conduct electricity, causing electrolysis and junk up a new radiator. Just run a garden hose through the engine hoses until it runs clean, then install the new radiator, runs the hose through radiator likewise, then fill with new coolant mixture. Run to normal temp, then let cool overnight and re-check the coolant level before making a long trip. The heat cycle (warming up and letting cool down) will effectively bleed air out of the system

Cheers Ddgonzal ill check them out.

Yeah was going to going with a bigger radiator or even go with PWR radiator but actually costs even more than id like to spend with a quote of over $1000.00 AUD + postage :(

Yeah all good i have already flushed it all out and cleaned it up and will do a full pressure test and use the highflow bucket to get all bubbles out of the system and run through the internal heater radiator as well when i install a new radiator

$80 AUD N14 aluminum radiator fits in a 1200 but some mods are needed, like drilling new mounting holes for a start

The little original-size aluminum unit is the go for an A12 or A14 engine

Yeah original-size should be fine for my worked A15

I think the water pump is working a little over time tho with the gilmer drive pulley being ever smaller than original size pulley
