Fuel Sendor Unstable

Hi Guys

My b210 fuel guage is not stable it runs to E when the car moving sometimes it stays without any problem , pulled the sensor and checked with the multi meter in some point Resistance stays calm am some point it shakes up and down, i cleaned it with 1500 grit sand paper it is little more better than earlier but not stable, do i need to replace my fuel sensor or just a clean up with contact cleaner or slimier will sort it out this issue ? any idea what should be done ?

The usual problem with the fuel sender is rust/oxidation. The foolproof solution is to replace the bad unit. I haven't had any success in cleaning them
