Okay boys I got myself an issue I have a bosch alternator with the Posts on it
B+ D+ D-
now my old alternator was a early alternator with external regulator
I have gone through the wiki and im having a drama with the alternator From what I can gather as I don't have a Lamp (L) and (S) Sense connector on the voltage regulator I run the black white that is L to the D+ on the new alternator don't run the sense wire Run the White red (white with fusible link) from battery positive (B+) to the battery positive terminal Thus on the voltage regulator connection disconnect and do the following jumper wires; 2. in the regulator connector of the engine harness, connect WB wire to WR wire 3. connect W wire to Y wire
I have done this and the issue I have is the engine will not turn off now it starts can pull the positive wire off the battery and the engine runs with alternator working but turn off the ign key and the car still runs so I need to pull the coil wire to turn the car off its got me stumped
its clearly not wired correctly for it to be doing this it had no issue with an early alternator with external reg
I think the issue is because im looking at the only real idea for it on the wiki is explination for an Hitachi IR

Yes, a very common problem. Make sure the external regulator is disconnected.
Wiring * B+ (power output to battery) * D- (earth) * D+ spade terminal - Dash Lamp * + with a plug in terminal (test only)
So connect D+ to the unplugged voltage regulator connector's Lamp wire. It is the WR wire

I have sorted the ignition problem can have it turn off
And connected as suggested to the alternator
I can start car and run pull positive on battery and car dies
What needs to be done wit has jumpers or don't jump them because white red to white black and the yellow to white is not working for me
