Having a crumbling exhaust on my JDM 1976 B211 was a bit of a challenge for a Brit where they weren't really ever sold. Nonetheless I bought a centre section for a 73-75 120y with no middle box and managed to mate it to the engine end of the catalytic converter where there is a convenient widening of the pipe enough to get the new tube in and clamp. Some judicial cutting and connection to a new back box - standard means I have a new system. This was necessary as the pipe that meets the manifold was much smaller than the one it replaced and I didn't fancy replacing the manifold, Has lasted 500k so far and sounds lovely. Just thought I would share as it took me a day of creative thought and brute force

Hey that's a good idea! I had no idea that the standard size pipe would slip into it like that. Our B210s from 1976-1978 also got the catalytic converter

So only 1973-1975 B210 was sold in UK?

I think we had B210s (sold as 120y) the same as most places but am not sure the B211 found it to our shores

Ah, yes. Likewise in USA, they were sold 1976-1978 as B210 (according to the engine compartment ID plate) but had all the changes of the B211. So my guess is they wanted to keep it simple for their overseas customers: "same old B210 you love, now updated!"
