standard front spring rates on a Sunny B310 are 90.7 lbs/in (AC models: 92.4 lbs/in)

"Rally Spec" -- Tarmac rally or dirt rally? For dedicated tarmac rally most guys start with 250 lbs/in

Thanks for info.

Car planned for club use dirt circuit initially aiming to AMSAG series or similar in NSW. The dust is still in the veins, got out of the sport before I wanted to due to work commitments back in the 80's and want to have some competitive fun again.

Building struts myself (engineering/fitter background). Rallied a Group G 1600 with all the right bits in the 80's when you built "Adjustable Safari Struts" yourself. The only other option was to scam them from people with contacts with the Datsun Rally Team. No Internet with Ebay etc back then. You were doing well if you had a fax machine at home and CB radios in the Rally car and Service vehicle!

Agree 250lb would be fine for track. I had 185lb the 1600 so would expect a lower rating for the lighter front end of a Sunny running A14 & 5 speed over the heavier 1600 with L20b and 260Z 5 speed.
