4.875 diff would adjust for the 20" tyres
for instance:
* 155/80R12 | 21.8" diameter
* 175/55R20 | 27.6" diameter
21.8 / 3.900 = 5.59
27.6 / 4.875 = 5.66
Pretty close to the same effective gearing!
