Hey guys been trying to search the forums and wiki for some more information about an amr500 setup

I have one laying around and am considering setting it up which doesn't seem like it should be too hard to fap up a bracket and make a tensioner setup run my 32/36 carb with already bigger jetting on blow through run fuel pump surge tank and change the timing curve and retard it like any forced induction

But my query is do these amr500 really make a whole lot of power being to be placed on a more than moderate built A15 and from what I can tell from the pulley specs and other sites will make around 5psi on the stock pulley (I really have no clue what psi it would make just a guess)

But setup as blow through with the moderate work on the engine am i really going to see much gain being how small the supercharger is have many people run some decent power from them?

Is a guess around 130-140rwhp plausible with approx 10psi from one or is it just going to be easier to just put the t28 turbo on and make the same power easily

I'm more wanting to put the supercharger on to be different but if it's too small would an sc12/14 be a better option

You may be right i cant tell what the flow is going to be an limitations of the amr500 its only a 500cc charger really

Well around 10psi is close to the 16000rpm limit of the charger so its hard to determine what it would be making still 10psi of forced induction would certainly make more power

Being my a15 is already 20tho over, cam duration 239@50 ported and polished head with springs and matched manifold on twin 40dcoe carbs electronic ignition ect ect. It's a fun little car but when your mate rocks up with his t28 turbo A15 you start to think some boost might be a good idea

Be nice if someone is running an amr500 blow through to give me an idea

the link I sent you states that roughly 10 psi @ 2:1 ratio is 12000 rpm / engine 6000rpm. Thats about max for standard pistons

If your chasing power just turbo it, you'll get a better response, supercharger a go alright but not like the turbo setups, supercharged give a good response to the a series but if I was starting out turbo would be the go.

No need for a surge tank -- that's for EFI -- and the Weber 32/36 already has one built in (the 32/36 fuel bowl)
