ok fellas
i have a 120y engine in my coupe, the guy who owned it before me put it in. the cert says its an A15 but i think it is only an A12 where can i look to check?
also sinse im 99% sure its a 1200cc how hard will it be tow swap it for an A15? the crossmember has already been changed not sure what to though, and custom engine mounts have been made up, so will it swap straight in or what? because i have heard somewhere that if your 1200 has had a 120Y motor put in an A15 will swap straight over.

The A12 has the dizzy under no. one spark plug. The others have it under no. three. How to tell exactly which one was discussed last week.

Yeah, the A13, A14, A15 and A12A use the same mounts. Only the A10 and A12 are different.

You might also take a look at the A14 swap Tech Section article.

the dizzy is under the number one sparky so its still a A12 but it required different engine mounts and a different Xmember.
Does that mean its an A12A?
and an A15 will bolt straight in?

If it has A12 written on it then it wouldn't be A15.
Unless the guy has worked it or something?
I dunno.
But you should be able to swap an A15 in there pretty easily if everything else is already done...
If it has been converted to the 120Y style A12 then everything else should just bolt up....... right?

yeah lobster that is what i was asking, will it bolt straight up because of the current 120y engine thats in thier.
i never knew it was an A12 for sure, because the cert confused me, but i was pretty sure that it was.
so yeah, will they change straight over or what? simple yes or no.
