I brought my ute with an A12 running in the engine bay and an A15 in the back in bits with a warm cam and twin side draft webars now im thinking re-build that or do a conversion.
How much power can you get out of an A15? does anybody no the most powerfull atmo A series around that would be intresting to find out. I would love a HP or 1/4 mile time to aim for when i build my A series.

150 hp is easily achieved from an a15,with readily available parts.you just have to let the engine breath.the webers, the cam & decent extractors will all help.anything greater starts being really expensive, with fuel injection, very large cams & head work.the highest hp i've heard claimed was 200 hp from the 1200 club car john boston drove for john taylor of pedders penrith,& my business partner has one with a dyno'ed 170-180 hp,which i'll be borrowing as soon as my sunny handles & stops well enough to match it.might slip out to eastern creek for a blast one day,as well as doing club supersprints in it.

John Boston's car was awesome. Does anyone know if he's still competing?

A-series are nose bleed fast. AGR-012 ran high to mid 13's naturally aspirated A15 and that's the best i've heard and then you can turbo them. That's about the same as a new WRX and you can get a 1200 insured.

If anyone has seen or knows of the 1000 coupe that John Boston ran in the NSW state rounds a couple of years ago (red and yellow) that is the vehicle i currently own. The car itself was oringally from melbourne raced by Alan pitt who sold it to John and Jeff taylor who built the engine ect. Still has the pedders sponsership ect on it ripping little car. After John sold it it sat in some wouldbe's shed for 18 months because in john taylors words it scared the s... out of him he he . Anyway will have pics as soon as i get them out of my mates digi camera. And by the way john is racing in a one make (mazda mx-5) series in japan with the JAF

I remember checking that car out at Alan's business Scuderia Nissan, in Melbourne I think. It's always nice to see balls out race cars like that.
