Almost impossible to find 5 speed manual in the USA for 1200 coupe. Any other 5 speeds that will work? I am thinking maybe same vintage Toyota ones might work, Atleast have same bolt pattern to the engine as both Toyotas and Datsuns began as Austins built under license.

Which 5 speed are you looking for? The 56, 60 or 63 series?

I have a 63 series that I'm not using and a 60 series in the car. My intent was to go to the 63 series this summer so the 60 series would be available. With the 63 series box you'll need to find an automatic driveshaft as the yoke for the 63 series is larger than the standard 1200 yoke.

As for the Austins built under license those motors have absolutely nothing in coming with the A-series engine. It's akin to comparing a Ford flat head V8 with a 302, they are that far apart.

There is / was a custom bellhousing available for fitting a Toyota T50 box but here in the USA you can find a 60 series box for much cheaper.

Keep looking on craigslist or in local scrapyards for B210's. It took me two years, but I found a guy selling a trashed B210 for $1800. I drove it home and pulled out the engine and transmission, and sold the rest to a scrapyard for $200. That's not cheap, but for my situation it worked really well. (I needed the whole emissions and carburetion system intact.)
My plan had been to swap my four-speed into the B210 but it was in such bad shape I didn't feel right selling it as a driving car.

It is easy to find a 5-speed. There's one for sale on eBay right now, and there has always been one every time i've looked during the last 10 years

Any 5-speed from B110, B210 or B310 (Datsun 210) will work in a 1200 coupe

By the way, the Datsun A engine is a 3rd-gen redesign of the Austin B engine, but it uses a totally different bell housing. When they put a Datsun 5-speed behind an Austin motor they use an adapter plate
