So the new Sedan project is started and the welding is continuing ... at my skill level ... the Engineer says he wants to get a 1200 twist tested to know that it will withstand the "extreme power" that I am planning (less than 200kw).

The test is the same as the one they do when cars get converted to open tops.
Anyway, has anyone had a sedan shell tested before? If so can you share the report?

Otherwise the Yella Terra shell gets to do it - the test is not destructive unless it fails in some unforeseen major way
I will ask for a report to share so that no-one else has to fork out a grand

I think its called a Beam and Torsion test. The Clubman 7 builders need to pass it to get registration - pretty crazy the amount of torsional twist they subject the cars chassis to
