Remember the famous
Phantom grille?
Found this blog that outlines how to make one. It's for the "New Sunny"
B310 but i reckon the method works for the B110 also
Like this Sunny coupe from the early days of the club
NO LIMIT !! blogfinished grille
he used a carpenter's square to make sure it's all lined up
he used wood pieces to space out the slats. looks like oak trim, the kind you find at the hardware store?
Then weld vertical risers to back of the slats
the slats look to be square stock stainless steel
trial fit
although this is a round-headlight B310, the squared-off grille looks fine
add connecting tabs along top edge of grille
If you inject spirit, the job will be finished
Mask the
core support in preparation for painting
paint it black to enhance the stealth
with factory B310 "taxi mirrors" (so called because nowadays only taxis use fender-mount mirrors)
with S800 mirrors
phantom grille looks good, doesn't it?
