thanks 4 all tha help...ended up getting a 120y engine...was out of 71 1200 wagon....from tha wreckers
we got the cross member off tha wagon...that had new mounts...welded on...to fit 120y engine in tha 1200...
2 afternoon job and she's in...going well...but is losing power...you have 2 rev hard and she just drops out all tha time...power wise
we had to resetup the altenator connections...cos the plugs are on the other side and were different....could this be affecting it...would appreciate any help...

Can you give more description on what happens? Does it run good for a few minutes, then lose power? Does it always idle good, but only run badly when revved up?

Check the float site glass ... is the fuel level 1/2 way?
