Yes, I would have to agree with you here. Everyone is always willing to help and it makes information very easy to obtain. There are a few people that would be getting annoyed with my constant questions, yet they keep replying!
Especially Chris....thanks mate!

Thanks Leigh.
I reckon this site is pretty good too. It's amazing how much info/resources are around, like I didn't even known that a Factory Parts book existed until recently. And as for the detail on the different models and options, this place is great for info. As more people join up, we are getting a broader range of Datsun owners, from family cars to race cars, which all help make this place very cool. Information on mods is always important. Especially as original parts get difficult to find, and this is something we are doing great things to develop.
Being a computer nerd from way back, I remember when my 1200 website on geocities was the only source of information on the net. But this site is great, I wish I knew more about website development. I agree with everyone, with a big thanks to the boys who run this site.

Yes, thank you Branco brothers and co-workers.
Also, thanks to all the club members who have been willing to share their knowledge and pictures. As someone recently pointed out, this site is "Datsun medicine".

The cups are to enlarge the hole through the middle of the cup so they fit on larger diameter 180B/200B/240K etc struts. 1200 struts are 3 or 4mm smaller in diameter. This is so the stanza lower arms trick can be used to house any larger brake struts, so 1200 owners aren't limited to the stanza struts (which are too long if you ask me), and means more brake caliper options are available. Using the stanza strut cups (larger diameter) resolves this, but that's more expensive. By recycling the cups from the original 1200 drum brake struts (which are worthless), the brake upgrade costs are reduced by $50. This money can go towards new brake pads for the new struts.
This is mainly aimed at using the 180B large axle struts for the Verada Disc/Commodore caliper upgrade for fitment in a 1200. I went one step further and cut down the 180B strut tube to suit a 240Z heavy duty insert, I had to cut 35-40mm out of the 180B strut tube length. I did this by measuring the difference in strut insert lengths, so sorry I don't have dimensions for the mod.
Chris.
