Buying Datsuns - a new record?

My previous 1 day record for buying Datsuns was 2 coupes and a sedan. This occured in the South Island of New Zealand over a period of 6 hrs one Saturday. Today I drove a 700 k round trip to Cootamundra in NSW, Australia to buy a 1979 A12 B310 for a Hawaiian couple who are going to college here for 2 years . The mighty Datto travelled back majestically and my friends in a Ford rental car were complaining they couldn't keep up on the hills!! When I got back I spoke with my brother in New Zealand and found that today he bought a 1980 auto Sunny for our upcoming trip to NZ. Of course the fact that I'm guessing that the bigger(?) trans tunnel could come in handy for a future transplant has nothing to do with it. So I'm claiming two records: 1, Most number of 1200's bought in a day by non-dealer = 3
2, First simultaneous International Datsun purchase by non-dealer = 2 in one day NZ/Australia
Anyone do any better?

You were worried that you'd break down the day you bought it..I know what you mean I almost cried the day I bought my stocker 1200 Sedan. It's a thing of manmade beauty. I'm so happy that Japan exists.

I have one statement and one question Converted.
1. I have an ex-Bozzo 1200 coupe in my garage which trumps an ex-Bozzo sedan.
2. Where is your B310 currently located?

I'll give you the most in one day record. But the international ... your brother bought that one?

Three weeks might just be the record for buying a particular car.

Oh, for longest time looking for one: I'm working on that record. It's been just over two years now looking for a 2-dr sedan.

I've been half heartedly looking for a sedan since I sold mine in 1988.

I have my eye on a coupe....the owner wants $25,000AUS for it...I reckon by the time I get it that will smash any record standing. My wife said not until the house was paid off...then I have to buy it for cash then the car will have a $50,000 price tag on it due to inflation...so I should have it by the year 2067!!

dd the International still stands as my brother plundered my cheque account to do it and my name is on the ownership papers.
I would like to claim another record: Longest daily commute using an A series - 165k's.
Quinn where was your minter shipped from?
