Anyone know where I can get pictures of a rotary in a datsun 1200 with clear shots of the mounts. The pics on the archives are not clear enough. I need to know positioning of the custom front engine crossmember or mounts and engine setback. Ive got an article of a stock turbo 13b s4 in a 120y (with again no clear mounting shots) that does 11.5 seconds on 175 70 13s. You should see how rusty this thing is and it leaves slick tyred cars for dead.
It apparantely has a 121 (rx5) gearbox that fits right into the original hole and mounts right up to the orig crossmember holes.
Being looking at a 10a pp engine to keep stay in the 2ltr and under class but will just focus on sprints if I can go 13b.

I'd like to see this too. In the dozens of pics I have, there are no shots of the mounts.

I don't know how helpful this will be but...
My broher fitted a 13b into a rear wheel drive Toyota Starlet, the RX 3 front engine mount bolted in on the original chassis points and the Toyota gear box mount was spun 180 degrees and bolted to the RX 5 gearbox. If datsun dimentions are similar there may not be that much trouble. The trick will be the front engine mount. In case you are interested, the Starlet also had an RX 7 lsd diff and discs fitted latter and the drive shaft had to be modified, but it was a very quick car.
