These are my designs for fitting a CA18DET into a Datsun 1200 '70-'73. As the later model B120s used a different crossmember I can't vouch that this will still work, although I expect it would.
I'm using Datsun 1600 (510) engine mounts because they are a good design, and are compact, so you can fit a larger turbo, without it hitting on the big CA18/CA20 liquid filled mounts.

See:

Cheers,
Chris.

did you make it up?

if so,

any chance of getting you to make up the mount section and sell it to me so i can just get it welded to a cross-member?

Yes I made them up. Probably the answer is no. I've got my own car to build

When I'm old and decrepid, with nothing else to do, I might start making them for others. But you'll have to wait 50 years for that to happen...

Don't be lazy, all of the information and ideas are there.

Chris

Have you seen the rule in the picture, it's not there for show...that gives you the measurements. I've already had this discussion with Demojob. I'm not a CAD expert, and I have no reason to become proficient with CAD. If you make benefit from it good. I've already saved you 10-16 hours doing it yourself. When does someone give you $500-600 for nothing, this is the equivalent labour to get someone else to do this part. I'm not saying anything more on this. I'm happy to delete the post.

hey dude chill

i thought this was friendly???

i figured you had it all measured up for when you made it as its hard to get measurement from a photo even with a ruler

and ive never given anyone advice for free and maddat doesnt sell the entire crossmember for $350 anyway

Hey Chris, assuming you already had your car engineered last time you registered the car with the CA, now using these new mounts will you need to engineer it again or will they not know the difference?

Yeah, I was a bit tired and cranky last night.

BTW, Maddat's kit is not perfect..not by a long way. But he's a commercial venture, so I'm not about to recommend changes to his kit. Nice bloke though. If you've ever seen his kit installed, it's designed for the "big intercooler" crowd, and means having a 90 degree dump pipe off the turbo. It's better than nothing though. And a real help for people who don't have fabrication/welding equipment available.

Good god, I just realised it's over a year since I posted here! I couldn't access the site for months and just gave up but whaddayaknow ...it works again!

Anyway, to business. Chris, is that an N13 Pulsar radiator you are using there? Looks like one. What did your CA come out of? Here they come in S13's and have the intake that points across the top of the engine rather than forward like yours.
