Got a little problem. I went to start my truck today and the key turned to ON then stopped. Won't turn either direction now and won't pull out.

I've taken the back off where the plug goes (the actual switch part) and use a screw driver to start it now.

Luckily the key is stuck in ON and not LOCK so it can still be driven but I need to fix it. Any ideas? Does the lock somehow come apart so I can get the key out? Anybody else ever have this problem?

1200 Factory Service Manual Pages BE-29 -> BE-30 does not explain how to service it. It just recommends replacing it if it breaks. To remove it, the one way bolts need to be removed with a drill. Then new bolts need to be used as replacements. preferably the tamper proof ones fitted at the factory.

BUT..

I've not heard or seen a key get stuck before. I'd spray loads of WD-40 (penetrating lubricant) into the lock around the key. Wait 30 minutes, then tap (lightly hit) the end of the key gently with a spanner.. to shock loose whatever is bound up. If that doesn't work, try jiggling the now well lubed key back and forwards until it frees up. If that doesn't work, I think you can pull the lock apart, but it requires you to pull the coverplate off, unfortunately the key is in the way...
See if any of this helps..

It also could be something in the steering lock assembly, but the oil into the key hole should make it's way into the actual steering lock part.

No the lock doesnt come apart. You have to use an angle grinder to take it off the steering column an purchase a new one if it needs replacing. They have high tensile bolts and also two of the bolts shear the head when you oringinally fit the steering lock ign switch. Go for DD's solution but if it doesnt work you may have to set aside 1/2 a day to replace it.

The factory manual on the pages specified says that the steering lock can be removed from the column, so it does come apart ..just not easily.

I have removed more than one. You can drill a hole in the bolts, then use an extractor to spin them back out, or jam a screw in the hole and unscrew it.

I once used a punch to spin the bolts back out slowly ... haha it took a while.

I second Dattodude's recommended: lube the key and lock. Use a lock grease (graphite-based oil). It might not work if the key twisted inside and is jammed.

I'll cut the head of the key off and try and get the lock apart that way. If not I guess I'll be looking for a new lock set. It's doubtful I can get one through Nissan, although I did just purchase a new tailgate and the piece that goes under it.
