What should i change on my 32/36 for my new A14, cause my weber 32/36 was tuned for my a12, will there be a big differnce when running it on my a14?

i am going to run the 32/36 on my new engine with has yet to be started so i am guessing the tuning has to be pretty good

which jets should i change etc etc..has anyone run a 32/36 on a mild/worked a14? i can put some specs up of the engine if that will help people Any help is good THANKS

If the A14 is in a similar state of tune compared to the A12 (mildly worked, similar cam, etc) then you shouldn't have to change the jets. It should be very close.

And if the engines are considerably different, you still won't need to change the jets. It will probably run OK. You could then later tune it for max. power or economy.

no much bigger cam in the a14, a12gx head ported head on the a14, but the weber on the a12 was running quite rich because the carbie shop set teh 32/36 to top prformance tune

its just i gotta be delcate when running the 32/36 on this motor not to rich or lean and no crabie shop for a 120km

you gotta remember the 32/36 is a 2lt carbie, so getting to run lean on our a series motors is hard unless the motor is pretty bombed out, so i am thinking my 32/36 will go good on my a14 for now

andrew, what mains & idle jets are you running, what air correction jets, what emulsion tubes, what power valve.this carby has a lot of adjustments, not just the idle mixture.i never got mine to run right due to the nature of the cam,but try something like 120 main jets & 130 secondary's,as a start.also, leave the idle jet,as it seemed to be right at 55.this should get you started.try to get some jets from a carby place, they were something like $2-$3 each brand new,it was quite a shock when i got new jets for the dcoe's & they're $10-$12 apiece.stick with it,it can be made to work.ask for some suggestions from the carby place you go to.try carby services at burwood on parramatta rd,they are pretty good at this sort of thing.hope this is a help.b120,you probably only have to increase the main & secondary's slightly,& this should richen it up all the way through the range.also,if it's got a bit of a cam,you could try taking some of the washers off the power valve spring,to weaken it,& not have the power valve open at idle, like was happening with mine.

Hy. I have a A15 with an A14 H72 head(the oval port ,still not GX head, just oval) and the rest is stock engine. I got a 32/36 about 2 years ago and it runs excelent. I got it new, and for my engine model, and came with -Iddle jets:52 both.
-Main primary:140
_Main secondary: 165

In fact, for the smog/emissions test, I go down on the primary jet to 130(main), and 50 on the primary iddle, and I can tell the difference in the main jet performance, a little less pick up. The iddle, I can not tell, but the smog machine sure can, because without that change it is a "F" grade.
You say your A12 is modified, mine is not yet(A15 w/ A14 cyl head) so, make some adjustments.
The jets are cheap, about 3 dollars for the main primary(130) and 2 dollars for the iddle (50) I got for my webster, about the emulsion tubes, that I do not know to much except that , as far as many have told me, unless heavily modified or in a complete different engine, those should work within parameters, worry about the primary and secondary main jets(in the gasoline chamber) and the idle jets(one on top of the selenoid cut of switcth if you have one, or else, in the same place, but underneath a bolt instead of a cut off switch, easy access, buy several jets and try them on.
