i would like to share information with you about my 1200. i need to disassemble the negine because it's burning a little bit of oil, it's made 600000 km without never being opened
(the engine of course), so i would like some adveice from anyone that had experience the same thing!!

If your a beginer with engines, i would suggest getting a Datsun 1200 book. Or a 120y one beause the engines are the same.

What do u intend to do once open? Your burning oil so it could be a number of things. Like a leaky valve stem seal, head gasket or maybe the rings are stuffed. What color smoke
is it blowing? Is there blowby? Is your oil milky?

I wouldnt be pulling anything apart until you know exactly what the problem is. It could be somthing as simple as a sump bolt washer or thr rocker cover gasket.

Mate if it's made 600000 I'd be aiming for the million km with the original, untouched motor! I agree with Davo 1200 - check out everything else before rebuilding the engine.
The A12 will go forever burning a little oil and they go even longer burning a lot! So don't panic and rush into things...
