copied from other thread for all to see::::

i found this out recently, but was hoping to get myself one before i told everyone in case everyone else beat me to them,

now why wouldnt you get a brake bias valve off the back of a volvo 144 gt deluxe, it has two under the back and the wreckers only ask $6, it takes a little bit of modifying to set it up with a tap type arrangement, as standard you need to put an allen key down it and turn

be carefull other volvos have them under the back but are not adjustable, ill try to get pics of the two types to make it easier for you guys,

please, for this tip, can someone please send one my way if they get two, i would really love one or even two of these for myself, my bro in law mannaged to find a couple of them but he gave them to other people, saying he would give me the next one, i wasnt complaining on the day because he gave me a spare set of hi-lux 4 spot calipers but now we are struggling to find another one

I know of this valve.
I shall enquire with our local Volvo wrecker to its exact availability

I've done this! It works great.

I took the adjuster screw out, welded a 1" piece of hex stock (end of cut off allen wrench) and welded it into the socket on the adjuster screw. Put the adjuster screw back in and mounted a 1" aluminum stereo controll knob from Radio Shack.

Attached valve to the pasanger side of the tranny tunnel by the gearshift and ran the rear brake line through the pasanger compartment.

Brake bias adjustable from the driver seat!

yeah thats how you put a tap in em,

and yeah they are really old volvos, i think it has to be a GT, like i said all those old volvos had em but only the one model had adjustable ones

i should be able to get pics of the two types happening in the next week and can someone confirm the models they came on?

pretty sure what i said was right though
