Pull all the spark plugs and pour some oil down each cylinder. Take off the rocker cover and spread a little oil across all the rockers (don't overfill though), put some fresh gas in it (not required), make sure there's adequate ventilation and a fire extinguisher handy (better safe than sorry). Other than that I've started A series right up after sitting for months with no delay. Also charge the battery up and have jumper cable handy. Good luck!

I would also crank it by hand a few times to coat the bore with oil and bolt on an exhaust!!

unplug the sparkplugs and turn it over a few times (10sec) without detonating. this, along with the oil you put in should get things movin g and ready to start.

Yes, engine oil. Just put "some" in the holes, then remove the distributor wire from the coil, and crank it over 10 secs as Quinn says. If there is too much oil, this gives it a chance to run back out the sparkplug holes.
Then put the plugs back in and fire it up.
