Hey guys I just got a few questions, what radiators are you CA18DET poeple using??? I got an S13 radiator but I think it sits a little too high, also what did you do in the way of an accelarator cable??? I have a perfect S13 cable and housing etc, but my 1200 one is broken, did you guys just get the cable chopped and changed to suit the 1200 or what???

Thanks for any help
Cheers
Damo

Stick to the lucky 13..N13 to be exact...

Although a shorter top/bottom tank radiator would be better. Or even if the top and bottom outlets were switched from side to side. But the N13 is the best size, and I know it's fine for Sydney Summertime peakhour traffic. Chuck one or 2 electrofans..all good. It's the external fuel pump that doesn't keep up in the heat. That's why my latest project uses an intank pump. If you expect to win the SuymmerNats burnout competition..get a triple core custom built radiator.

For my throttle cable, I have a custom 1200 / CA20 Skyline setup. I might go for a nice 100% custom one next time.

Chris

Yeah, good for the boys downunda, but what about us Yanks? Hey Chris, you think you could stuff one in your briefcase for me the next business trip to the states? Okay, that's an old joke from a previous thread. Anyway, I might go with the Civic Del Sol radiator; that's what guys are using with sr20 conversions in fairlady roadsters here.

I was told my radiator was out of a s13.
I have two 10" thermos on it. Just crusijn around the fans dont come on, and it sits on 76 deg c
but if I get into it and give it a hiding it shoots up to 81 deg and the fans come on and drop the temp very well.
