few qns:

1. how much are ca18det standard pistons, im lookin at beefin up a ca18det to abouts 150- 160 KW at the wheels, and i wanna know what goes rong with the ca18s common.

2. how much would it cost to modify the injectors to handle the power.

3. any other advice to offer about modding the engine without forging the hell out of the thing, changing rods etc. maybe a port/polish?

4. whats the deal with the GTR 32/33 444cc injectors? are they hard to fit, my mate reckons he's seen an article that says they fit in easy.

should be rockin, im building it while im looking for a nice coupe to fit it in. Should be sweet.
ty boys.

what do you have a stock engine???
1)high flow cat and 2.5-3"zorst
2)pod + CAI(cold air intake)or Rb20 air flow meter or if you can afford it Z32 air flow meter
3)T28 or or better GT2540orGT2830
4)pistons can handle 16-18 18 for short spurts wouldnt drive will 18psi daliy maybe just a race here or there
5)GTR 444cc straight fit or nippon 460cc
6)maybe cam gears mild head work JNH offer head work with a 40%increase of power without other mods
7)if your up to here you got to much money and should give me some
professional build upto $10k good for 400kw
all of these mods upto 6 should give near to 200kw but internals can take 300hp before problems check out zoom for the ca18 article
have fun
4got big FMIC and BOV

yer, ive already got a t28 bb. The engine is stock at the moment, i dont wanna spend a load on it, so i wanna maybe change the pistons, cos i heard the rings stuff up real easy on most import ca's. im prob guna run it at 12 - 14 Psi so it should be able to take it. Yer, i hoped the gtr injectors would fit up, thats what i need to get.

Geez, 400kw thats enormous, im not that foot trigger happy, 150+ would be plenty for me .
Oh, ive got a stealth blow off valve, sleeper in the making hehe.

thanks for all the help bud.

hay silverback..
the ca18det doesnt need many mods 2 get it really going hard and if u are after about 160 at the wheels that isnt 2 hard as u already have a gt28 turbo..
2 get 160rwkwats this is all u need..
3'' exhaust..
upgraded fuel sytem eg. bosh fuel pump 600hp
injectors either cleaned or bigger one's
after market ecu ems stinger is very good.
air pod.. front mount as long as u got these u would be comfortable be able 2 run 15pound and up 2 18p on the street no probs.. and get 150-170 at the wheels...
good luck..

The stock engine you have with the t28 with 15psi should see the power your after just need a good intercooler exhaust and tune the stock injectors are good for close to 170kw at wheels you can always fit a rising rate reg to squeeze a bit more juice out of injectors I have 7mgte supra ones in mine good for just over 300kw.

Hey Spud 40% increase in power with headwork alone is a pretty big claim.!!
I spent a fair bit of time and$$$ on mine with valve work port work ect we got 22% more flow over a stock head how this equates to good HP gains rigth through the rev range.
Without bigger cams solid lifters ect i cant see how they can get that much what kind of money are ther charging for this work?? also do they do a before and after bflow bench or somethiong to back up there claims??
