i was wondering if i could fit a 2liter sigma motor in to a datsun 1000 ute?? its for race not street use. the only reason choose to use a sigma motor is because i have 1 built up for race purposes.. thanx

anythings possible, the best thing to do would be to measure up the engine and the engine bay and see if it would physically fit, then speak to some people at performance shops etc, to see what cross member and engine mounts to use, you maybe able to use some stuff out of galants, I believe a lot of the parts are interchangeable, like diffs and that sort off stuff.

you might have troubles with the gear box also, cause the trans tunnels on 1000's arent exactly huge, but then again, im not too familiar with mitsubishi engines and gearboxes, might have to get a dellow kit or something.

Rough measuring from my GN 2.6 sedan to my 1000 sedan makes out that not much metal would be left standard and not much of a foot well either! maybe ok for racing but not too good for a long haul.
