I have just bought my first Datsun, a 64 1200 cab-chassis ute. It has had a J15 engine fitted but i have been told that this is illegal without serious brake and steering upgrades. I am getting conflicting advice from everyone that i have spoken to an qld trans is no help either. Could someone please tell me what is involved in making this truck legal for rego in qld. thanks.

im guessing the stock engine (im unsure for a 64 1200 what it is) will be required as qld is tight on these things nowdays, and vic is becoming a lot more tighter too (as i have found out).
Most rta's want older cars off the road nowdays (and especially qld after their doodgy history on rwc,s and rego)
