What are you guys running for tailpipes on your cars? Do any of you have anything unusual/Old School/different?

I found this new old stock Ansa rear section on ebay about three years ago. It is for a '79 200SX [an S10?]. I bought it for my B210 and although I'm just installing the 1608 engine this week, I am not quite ready to build the rest of the exhaust system yet. But I had the car on the lift today and test fitted this Ansa section to see how much modifying I would have to do to get it on the B210. Turns out it fits perfectly! I remember alot of sports cars had these Ansa systems back in the '70's and '80's. I love the black crinkle finish paint on it, the peroid correct look, and the slightly raised angle of the tips under the bumper.

Does anyone remember the old Ansa performance exhaust systems?

I do - I had one on my first ever Datsun in the early 90's. It was a 240Z and the Ansa system was remarkable for the way it could send oil smoke out at a 45 degree angle. And the sound complemented the induction noise of the twin weber downdrafts with no air cleaners. My NC State Trooper neighbour used to look the other way when ever he saw me. Cool period piece though - will look Old School to the max. I have enjoyed following your engine builds too - I see E16's in a different light now!

Yes, I had to laugh when you mentioned the smoke coming out at a 45 deg. angle [spinning like a tornado too]. I remember cars with Ansa systems doing that. Hopefully, my 1608 will not be smoking.

Thanks for the compliment on the E-series buildups. Where did you see them, at Nissanforuns?
