hey all just wondering if any one knows if a 1200 ute sill will fit my sedan

Im not after the full length of the sill just half to replace some damage..

Just trying to figure out if its a good idea to get one of those new non gen ones from ebay..

I can think of no reason why the front will be any different. If you are replacing the middle or front, it ought to be fine.

Better than bending up your own.

the sills are the same the whole way along, so they should be fine to cut up and use to repair rust

You will find that the shape of the sills on all 1200s is different front to back. The car is actually wider in the centre. On my old 1200 wags ca18detman gave me a geniune ute sill and i used it on the opposite side and had to slice it up to make it fit the correct profile.
There is no reason why you cant make straight sills though. You will just have to make it suit under the door

Below pic shows half a right side sill being used on the front left side. Not that the bottom lip has been sliced off and in the pic is held in place by vise grips. If you look close enough you will see that the large curved surface has a gap between it and the bottom piece.
