Actually, the best & most cost effective performance upgrade for the Sunny Sedan with A12 engine is to simply replace it with an A14 or A15 from a Sunny Sportswagon.

If you shop around you should have no real drama finding a Wagon with the engine still in it. This ensures that you can get all the right parts to fit it up into your sedan without any drama's.

Most Wagons had the A14, with the A15 being introduced near the end of the model run.

Performance improvements can include a better flowing exhaust, a Webber downdraught carb conversion, & my personal recomendation, an electronic ignition. [Pertronix make a good conversion kit] All of these things wil perk up an A series at modest cost without troubling your fuel consumption too much.

Give Jeff Taylor a call out at St Marys 02 9623 8826 - he is a top bloke who is one of the best in the A series business.
