Hi guys, my car is up for sale at the moment but i doubt its going to sell. The only thing left is to have a proper LSD with disc brakes.
Currently i have a set of buddy club P1 rims and im just hoping that the stud pattern will remain the same so i can keep the rims on the rear.
The other is how is the handbrake used in disc brake setup? The last skyline i had, was sorta a drum brake for park brakes and a disc for normal driving... what would the new axle be like?
I wouldnt mind throwing the datto round the track if it doesnt sell. But yeah, those are things i was cuious about.
thanks,
steel

I wouldnt bother spending money on the h165, just bite the bullet and get a R31 diff shortened and get an LSD for that.

Id agree with you but are the stud patterns the same?
Does anyone know what sort of price and so forth? What would a LSD be worth for a 31 axle? im thinking of sumwhere around the 4:9 ratio? is that reasonable? it will NOT be a daily driven car...

Aren't the Aussie R31 lsd's bodgie warner cone LSD? Cone LSDs are mud. I wouldn't have one for a wart on my cock.

Yeh they do have crap LSD's, but minispools are cheap or you can get lokka's or kaaz LSD's for them. I suggested the R31 diff for its strength behind a ca18det rather than for its factory LSD's. Yes they are the same stud pattern as a 1200.

Thanks for your help guys... What are the sort of costs involved in a setup like this? i know i can get them from maddat but it sure seems expensive... i can put it together myself but i cant do the machining and cutting to get it to fit.
Is it worth it to get one from maddat?

best gear you can get for r31 diff is 4.11 though i would suggest a hilux diff, that way you have better LSDs and better choice of ratios around what your looking for
